DepthField Photo documentation
Reference and workflow guides for DepthField Photo — the AI-first photo editor for casual creatives and small-business owners. The docs are early. What's ready today is below; the rest will land alongside the beta.

BYOK API keys, DepthField Cloud, model choice, and the wallet.
About these docs
DepthField Photo is a native Mac app that runs the same editor on the web too. Where a page describes behaviour that differs between desktop and web, the difference is called out explicitly.
Nothing in the app is proprietary or encrypted at rest. Project files are documented (see
The .dfp file format). Open standards where they exist; where we
invented something (like .dfp) it is described here in full so anyone can read,
write, or inspect one without our tools.
